Yogev Shetrit is an internationally touring drummer, composer and educator. A Musicology graduate of the Hebrew University, he also studied at Drummers Collective in New York and at Rimon. His masterclasses combine cultural context, live demonstration, practical participation and a path from tradition to a personal musical language.
01MASTERCLASS 01
Students explore Insaraf, Karachi, Betaihi, Burgila and other essential rhythms — including the clave, the main pattern of each rhythm, and practical ways to orchestrate and develop it. The session also follows their influence on musicians around the world and introduces key artists in this tradition.

Students explore more than ten Mediterranean rhythms and their claves, learning the main pattern of each rhythm and how it can be orchestrated, developed and used as living musical material.

03MASTERCLASS 03
An accessible path into polyrhythms and rhythmic groupings, with practical applications in contemporary music and jazz. Exercises work on drum set, hand drum or any instrument. Drum-set players receive specific tools for translating traditional rhythms to the kit, alongside examples from major jazz and classical musicians.
